In Annette Ahler's lastest e-newsletter Essential Insights: The Light of Seeing for the Truth of Healing, she addresses some of the issues related to a condition termed 'Adrenal Fatique', which seems to be reaching epidemic-like proportions in our society.

Annette asked her readers a thought-provoking and relevant question: "What steps will you take to reduce your stress, and increase your joy and well-being?"  O
ne reader shares her thoughts...

1. Only keep the things in my life that I decide are for my highest good; even if it's in a remote but significant way. Things that come to mind include: foods I eat, relationships I have, obligations I've committed to, habits I have, and the ways I use my time. I’m sure there’s more.

2. Put these things (from my list above) into the context of what I understand about myself now, and that's where I’d start. I believe anything I want to keep in my life today should feel like the energy exchange required to hold onto it is also for my highest good, and my expansion and development.

3. If I have things I want to eliminate but do not feel its wise to do so immediately, design a timeline and action plan to do it that feels right. Or, if it's a matter of being unclear on how to eliminate it from my life, then seek council from those I trust in these matters. Do not waste energy making a lot of unnecessary noise; just put one foot in front of the other and do it.

4. Monitor my own progress, in writing so I have something tangible; but also in meditation so I stay open to Higher insights about my progress. Focus on both what's already been successfully achieved, and what is still to come. Visualize and affirm the outcome.

5. Contemplate MY rhythm of living, and consider if that rhythm has been a productive, peaceful, joyful, healthful journey, or if my current rhythm has brought experiences in the opposite direction. Do not be afraid to experiment with modifying my rhythm. In other words, the pace at which I move through life may or may not benefit from adjustment.

6. And in the end, I must remember that my personal life force (adrenal energy) is affected by the combination of the ‘clarity of my intentions’ and the ‘efficiency of my actions’, both of which are affected by how I think and feel. So I must steady myself with patience and perseverance; but like the synergy of a good recipe, there is always room for spontaneity, creativity, and magic.

With gratitude for the inspiration!
